MOSQUE or NO MOSQUE???

I believe that the building of the MOSQUE at Ground Zero is the first true potential to unify the world's religions rather than its being used as a way to widen the gap between nations and their beliefs.  It is imperative that we see this as an opportunity to set up the first American Center of World Religions at this very site and encourage the building of as many chapels as possible in one location, sponsored by the city and world religions so that people from every nationality and religion may come there to worship.  There SHOULD be a MOSQUE and a SHUL and a CATHOLIC CHURCH and an EVANGELICAL CHAPEL and a BUDDHIST TEMPLE and MORE all congregating at the foot of the new structure.  The chapels should be rationed individual space and allowed a specific size so that no one chapel claims more importance than the other.  This is the way of acceptance and the way of yielding to a world community that is held together by the belief in one creator.  This is also the way of tolerance and acceptance.

We can use this site to show the world that New Yorkers have a special way of dealing with lemons: LEMONADE, NEW YORK STYLE. This is the center of mixology: in food, race, religion, nationality and income.  We have the poor and the rich, the leftists and the right wingers all living cozily under one name:  New Yorker.  It is about time we stopped whining about the past, stepped off the soap box and began making sense of the whole thing by finding new and constructive (rather than destructive) options.  In stead of trying to kill the idea, GO WITH IT and make it Larger Than Life: greater than the Garden of the 8 Temples in Bali, Indonesia.  THEY have the right idea:  All denominations, together in one beautiful place.  Think about it New York...  a place that could turn you into the new paradise for travelers from every country in the world.  A place to praise and worship one creator and all of his clergy.  And, at last, a peaceful resolution to a special idea that could only have started in New York.
